How I Sold 420 Harrison Avenue, Claremont, CA 91711

Represented the Buyers — $1,285,000

Buying a home is rarely a straight line — it’s a process of discovery, clarity, and timing. This sale at 420 Harrison Avenue in the heart of Claremont Village was exactly that: a journey that began with questions and ended with the perfect fit for a growing family.

The buyers were referred to me through past clients whom I had previously helped find a tenant for their ADU here in Claremont. Like many couples entering the market, they weren’t sure what direction to take at first — should they find a fixer for less, or invest more in something move-in ready? We explored both options together, touring a variety of homes to help them define what “right” really meant for them.

It didn’t take long before they realized that the time and effort of a renovation wasn’t something they wanted to take on, especially with a baby on the way. The focus quickly shifted toward beautifully updated homes near the Claremont Village — where convenience, character, and community come together.

During our tours, they also discovered what truly mattered most in their daily life. Living close to the freeway might have offered quicker commutes, but the constant noise and air quality didn’t align with their vision of home. A two-story layout was fine — as long as it included a downstairs bedroom and full bath for the husband’s parents, who frequently visit from overseas. Proximity to the Village was equally important, giving his parents the freedom to walk to local shops, cafés, and stores during their stays.

When it came to financing, they didn’t yet have a lender, so I introduced them to my trusted partner Mortgage Manfro in La Verne. They connected immediately, got pre-approved quickly, and we set out with a clear plan. Life paused the search briefly as they welcomed their new baby — but once ready, they jumped right back in.

That’s when this home appeared. A beautifully renovated 5-bedroom, 3-bath Craftsman, ideally situated in one of Claremont’s most beloved neighborhoods. It had everything: timeless charm, modern updates, flexible layout, and a walkable location. They fell in love instantly. We went into escrow, and one month later — just as their baby turned one month old — we closed on their dream home.

During escrow, they got to know the property more deeply and identified a few small projects they wanted to take care of. I helped coordinate trusted local professionals to make it easy:

  • A landscaper to remove a few trees and open up the yard

  • A handyman to install a dog door and handle some finishing touches

  • A termite company to complete full tenting

  • A foundation specialist to evaluate minor concerns

  • And an HVAC technician to fine-tune the system

With each step, the home became more truly theirs — ready for family, comfort, and a long future in the Village.

It was an honor to represent them through this milestone. Seeing clients transition from uncertain first-time buyers to confident new homeowners — with a newborn in their arms and keys in hand — is why I love what I do.
